The Barrie Soccer Club is pleased to announce that Mind to Muscle, the region’s premier training facility, has been named the official “high-performance partner” for BSC athletes and teams.
Mark Cristante, Barrie Soccer Club’s Technical Director says, “Our goal as an association is to promote physical, mental, social and technical development. This agreement helps us achieve the physical long-term development goals of our players, coaches and parents. M2M has been widely recognized as a leader in strength and conditioning for athletic development in our region, and we are certainly pleased to have them as our partner”.
Included in the agreement is a focus on the BSC U21 teams, whose players are positioning themselves for the next step at NCAA, CIS and League1 play. M2M will be providing team training, individual training and on-line remote training programs through the Coach Me Plus APP. Also, the agreement includes movement efficiency programming for the U9 – U18 youth programs.
Mind to Muscle, a Barrie company, has been providing athletic performance training to local athletes for 25 years. Their newly launched Youth Athlete Development program (YAD) is designed to build an athlete’s aerobic base, functional strength, balance, coordination, agility and speed within the long-term development model. These fitness fundamentals ultimately allow players to train specific muscles recruited in soccer, while also helping them reduce injuries, improve performance and overall enjoyment, while working together with their teammates. Individual athletes can attend these sessions to augment their training. M2M training programs are conducted by an experienced strength and conditioning coach, with advanced industry credentials in a state-of-the-art 3200 sq. ft. training facility at 500 Huronia Road, Barrie.
In addition, the athlete benefits include sport nutrition, mental performance and advance testing in a facility that provides one stop integrated services. Mind to Muscle is widely known as the choice for Professional, OHL, NCAA and competitive athletes in the region.
To launch the program, BSC players can join the YAD program in advance of winter training. For more information, call 705-727-8660, or Mind to Muscle programs can be found at www.mindtomuscle.ca.
